Custom capture panels that carry your existing markers forward, at library-prep scale in the thousands.
Twist Bioscience’s FlexPrep™ UHT Library Preparation Kit is purpose-built to move agrigenomics programs off microarrays and onto next-generation sequencing (NGS) at scale. Its Normalization by Ligation (NBL) chemistry skips upfront quantification, allowing preparation of population-scale volumes with fewer consumables. The same library feeds two paths: low-pass whole-genome sequencing for genome-wide imputation, or Twist’s fixed or custom target enrichment panels when you need to lock in must-have markers and control depth per region. That dual path is what makes array-to-NGS continuity practical for genomic selection and parentage testing. Twist’s FlexPrep™ inline-barcode demultiplexing and standard capture manifests are already built into CURIO, so Twist workflows easily run without additional setup.
Low-pass WGS · sample-prep automation
The fastest sample-to-library route for low-pass WGS: one kit, about 2.5 hours, up to 1,536 barcodes.
An end-to-end workflow for low-pass sequencing and imputation. Revvity's NEXTFLEX™ HT Agrigenomics Low-Pass WGS Kit preps libraries in about 2.5 hours from 1 to 500 ng of input, PCR-free compatible. Revvity extraction and automation hardware scale the wet lab to match. CURIO takes over from there with parallelized alignment and imputation on open, validated algorithms (Beagle and GLIMPSE2).
Targeted amplicon panels · low-pass kits
Deep agricultural roots, and both chemistries from one partner.
AgriPlex has genotyped agricultural samples for years, and it shows in the chemistry. Their panels and protocols handle the tissue quality and input ranges that real ag programs send to the lab. Curio and AgriPlex partner across both core chemistries: targeted amplicon panels for high-confidence genotyping at defined loci, and low-pass WGS kits for genome-wide coverage with imputation. AgriPlex handles sample to library. CURIO delivers alignment, variant calling, and imputation. For many programs this is the simplest route into NGS genotyping, with no new team to build.

Target capture on the flow cell itself, with data streaming to CURIO before the run finishes.
CURIO's integration with Element's AVITI™ and its Trinity™ hybrid capture module runs target enrichment on the flow cell instead of in the lab. That removes a hybridization step and its consumables. AVITI can stream data straight to CURIO, so analysis starts during the run and results land minutes after it completes.
High-throughput sequencing · native CRAM
Sequencing economics built for population scale. CURIO reads its native CRAM directly.
Ultima's open-wafer architecture delivers very large read volumes per run, built for population-scale programs. Its data arrives as CRAM, a different container than FASTQ, not a lesser one. CURIO processes it natively and preserves the per-base quality and alignment context that a conversion step throws away. Curio built and validated that pipeline for agricultural species, a first for non-human organisms.
